Description:
This client wanted an online development of a database to record minutes of meetings, action points and to upload and attach drawings and plans.
They were also looking for a way to share data across their team in an offline manner.
Team members enter notes into their local copies off line, and then when they get to an internet connection they synchronize all notes to a master database across the internet.
What Was Done:
A version of the database was installed on team members local machines. These were running Windows XP and, Vista.
We took their existing access database and up-sized to MS Sql server 2005. We then wrote a front end login in C# linq using visual studio 2008. For the offline version we created a MSI installer and bundled UltiDev Cassini webserver. For the Replication we used SQL server Web merge replication over SSL.
